Before I can speak intelligently about the services that might be appropriate for you and your family, I need to get to know you. And, before you can feel comfortable sharing your goals and dreams, you need to get to know me. My holistic approach towards providing my clients a comprehensive view of their financial life starts with maintaining a gold standard of professionalism. My goals as your primary advisor are to adhere to these seven principles. First, I want to provide advice you can trust. Second, I want to provide an honest assessment of your financial situation. Third, I want to understand your specific financial needs.  Fourth, I want to genuinely care for your well being. Fifth, I want to re-evaluate your financial situation on a regular basis. Sixth-I want to be open-minded and listen to your opinions regarding your investments. Finally, I want to communicate with you on a regular basis.

I spent my high school years at a prestigious Prep school called The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennyslvania and I graduated from there in 1986. Then, I went on to attend The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1986 thru 1990. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with two minors in Political Science and Business.

My professional career started with Edward Jones Company in Frederick, Maryland where I worked as an assistant to a financial advisor for a year in developing his business. My work included marketing, prospecting, managing the office and client service. I opened up my own office for Edward Jones & Co. in Pinehurst, North Carolina in December of 1993. I built a successful office over the next ten years while managing nearly $45 million dollars and handling over 200 household accounts.

Next, I moved on from Pinehurst, North Carolina to Raleigh where I went to work for Wachovia Securities from 2003-2008 where I was a Vice President of the Wachovia bank in Cary, North Carolina. My duties included handling the financial planning and advisory services for the clients of this branch.

In 2008, I moved to Wilmington, North Carolina to help my brother Brian Cox develop and build an integrated financial services firm for the Northwestern Mutual.

My special niche within the financial services industry is helping develop, educate and service and implement Retirement Plans and Retirement Income Strategies.
